Aspire Art Gallery

Aspire Art Gallery

Welcome to our Aspire Art Gallery!

The children at Aspire enjoy developing their creativity, trying new techniques and exploring a range of art materials during their lessons. We also enjoy learning about real life artists and having a go at their style of art.

We have created this gallery to enable the children to showcase their artwork to a wider audience.

We hope you enjoy visiting our gallery and looking at what the children have achieved!

Art Inspired By Frank Bowling OBE

Frank Bowling OBE is a famous British artist who was born in Guyana and later moved to London. He is well known for creating large, colourful abstract paintings that use bright colours, drips, and layers to tell stories without showing real-life objects. His artwork often explores ideas about identity, places he has lived, and how colours can make people feel. Frank Bowling became the first Black artist to be elected to the Royal Academy of Arts, showing how important his work is. His paintings can be seen in famous galleries around the world, and they encourage people to use their imagination and enjoy the power of colour.

Fun fact: Frank Bowling sometimes adds unusual materials like glitter, foam, or even hidden objects into his paintings before covering them with layers of paint!
