At Aspire Academy, fully trained and qualified Speech Therapists work alongside our Speech and Language Therapy Assistant, Miss Onadeko, to provide high quality communication and language support for the students in line with the provision in the their EHCP. Speech and Language Therapy aims to identify and remove barriers to learning through providing support and strategies to enable the child to achieve success in all areas of the curriculum and in the wider community.
Intervention packages focus on the following areas:
- Social communication skills
- Multi-sensory learning
- Lego Therapy
- Targeted language support
- Vocabulary Enrichment
If your child will be working directly with the Therapy Team for an intervention or assessment, we will write to you to inform you of this. Parents and Carers are requested to complete a consent form before sessions can begin.
Progress made will be communicated to yourself by either our Speech and Language Therapist or our Speech and Language Therapy Assistant via telephone conversations, letters home and through the Annual Review process.
